MIEACT

Brand refresh and awareness campaign

Mental Illness Education ACT (MIEACT) delivers mental health education through lived experience storytelling in schools, workplaces and the broader Canberra community. They needed a campaign and brand that could better connect with audiences and reflect the power of personal stories. I developed the campaign concept See Yourself in Our Stories, shaped the narrative, and led the visual refresh to bring everything together. Using layered portraits, authentic photography and direct messaging to put real people and their experiences at the centre. The campaign built stronger community engagement and helped position MIEACT as a trusted voice in mental health education.

Heidi Prowse
CEO of MIEACT

Story telling opens a window into the lives of those living with mental illness. Stories provide the tools needed to shift mindsets and attitudes towards mental illness.

The refreshed MIEACT brand visually reflects the diversity and complexity of mental health through the use of organic, freeform shapes, symbolising the many ways our minds work and experience the world.

I created custom icons and graphics to highlight connection, community, and support. The brand uses storytelling and lived experiences to spark open conversations about mental health.
